Not who I expected
If you ever want to put money on a sports bet, just ask me who I think will win and then wager the opposite way. I'm a great contrarian indicator. Take for instance the NFL playoffs.
A couple of weeks ago I opined "I expect to see the Vikings ... in the Super Bowl against the Indianapolis Colts" even though I thought "a Vikings/Jets Super Bowl would be fun...."
So, when the Colts scored just before halftime against the Jets, I got that funny feeling that things were not going to go well for the guys in green. And when the Vikings suffered fumble after fumble and then turned it over on what could have been a game winning drive, well, I was pretty sure the Favre magic had vanished.
So, instead of my "fun" Vikings/Jets Super Bowl, we'll see the never-been-there-before Saints vs been-there-won-that Colts. It should be a good game, but it's not anything I am salivating to see. It doesn't really matter to me who wins as long as the game is entertaining.
BTW, the early line by Las Vegas oddsmakers have the Colts by four points.
One final thought; as someone who really dislikes cliches, I'm already worn out from hearing variations of "The Saints are marchin' in".

On any given day of the game, ANYTHING can happen..........
I do believe that NO & INDY are pretty well matched up.......the super bowl should be interesting......
Sad, though, after the Super Bowl, I will go through withdrawal for a bit...
* sigh *
This would make a wonderful plaque for your office. I am right there with you Jeff. Though booth games were some of the best this season, I expected complete opposite outcome. But then again, I am a Chief's fan and I expect them to be in the Super Bowl also. Yes, yes, I know...living in a fantasy world sure does help with stress relief, doesn't?
The short version -- be nice and be respectful of other's opinions, even if they don't agree with yours, or your comment may be deleted.
