World Series 2009
Ok, so this isn't exactly the match-up I was hoping for in the World Series, but this should be a good one to watch. The Yankees get to celebrate their first World Series in eons (at least it feels like that long for pinstripe fans) in their new park. It's their 40th overall. And Philadelphia gets to try and repeat as World Series champions, and no one has done that since the (irony alert) 1998-2000 Yankees.
I'm going to say this one goes all the way to seven games. Game one is Wednesday night.

Da bums will lose to the Phillies in 4.
Yankees got there because Steinbrener paid off the umpires in the Angels series and totally screwed them over......Here smoke dat!

Paid off Ump's - bad calls went both ways!
Most fans knew it would be NY and Philly.
The truth story is how Steinbrener treats the Yankee fans. You hear about how great the Yankee fans are, but you don't actually hear from them!
I've had Friday night season tickets for 18 years (yankees say 13yrs) and I've always gone to one game of each series of the Yankee postseason. I had 4 seats (MVP box) and this year - I was told moving into the new stadium "that nothing would change". Well, I now have two extra games (Midweek) and seat in section 211 (up a level and farther away). I asked about my postseason ticket rights before purchasing season tickets this year - and was told "I would have them". Now that the Yankees are in the postseason - I amoung hundreds, areleft out! I was offered a presale for the first two game, but only two seats and ended up in Bleachers (that's OK). Couldn't get WS tickets, but the Yankees emailed me - If I wanted to purchase full season tickets - I could get this seasons Postseason WS tickets...
This is just wrong!
I'm still a Yankee fan, but with the ticket prices being cheaper on StubHub - then I pay for season tickets, I'll likely NOT purchase season tickets again!

Poor Leon, sinking lower than any Red Sock fan should (I assume he's a red sock fan from the whining) ...paid off the umps? WOW! That's BRILLIANT!
His owner, John Henry must've "tweeted" that and that's where Leon got the post idea from. John Henry tweets so much, why, he missed out on signing TEX to the Yanks!!
Robert - same here with ticket complaints. SAME STORY exactly. Love the team, love the owner, the stadium and THE MOST CHAMPIONSHIPS, but I can do without the ticket office..
GO YANKS!!

So it looks like the Yankees will win the World Series (Holding down the puke).
On the upside, The Sox have won 2 World Series this decade. Something the Yankees will NEVER be able to do.
Im going to go and puke now......
