Wallace and Clemens
The much anticipated Roger Clemens interview on "60 Minutes" has come and gone and to be quite honest with you....I don't know what to make of the back and forth between the Hall of Fame Journalist and soon to be Hall of Fame Pitcher.
I'll preface this by saying I'm not a fan of Clemens... but he actually seemed believable and while he hasn't changed my opinion necessarily I'm not sure what to believe now.
I was worried the 89 year old Mike Wallace would not be armed with his best fastball (sorry), but I think he asked the right questions and I'm not sure how much harder he could've really pressed the rocket.
So what do you think? How did Clemens come out of this interview? He's scheduled to meet the national media tomorrow afternoon we'll see how he does in front of a few dozen reporters.

So I ask you Mr. Dobratz...why isn't the great Mo Vaughn getting a chance to clear his name on your airwaves??? He was a beloved Red Sox and Met...two teams with a heavy fanbase right in your marketplace! The local media should be doing their part to help these other fine players get onto the airwaves and clear their names.
"Quint" speaking........"I don't know chief. I don't know if he's very dumb or very smart."
It is very simple for Roger. Go before Congress and testify. If he takes the oath to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, then maybe I will believe him. If he comes up with some excuse that he is unavailable to testify becasue of "schedule conflict" issues, it will confirm my opinion that he is a liar and a cheat.

There is no SPORTSMANSHIP in sports, how utterly ironic..........................
lie detectors/polygraph results are not worth the powder to blow the results to hell...
i see this shaping up to be a battle of, as Warren Zevon so elequently said, "Lawyers, Guns, and Money"...
Go Red Sox!!!
I think your statement of "there is no sportsmanship in sports" is extremely irrational. What you're essentially stating, is that the Mitchell report is 100% true, and none of these fine stellar athletes deserve the right to even TRY and clear their name. Now I'm a Yankee fan, but year after year I watched the great Mo Vaughn terrorize pitchers with his legendary hitting abilities. I've read up on the man, I've witnessed his charitable activities. This man worked hard, was respectable and paid his dues. He at least deserves to be given the chance to tell his side of the story.
The short version -- be nice and be respectful of other's opinions, even if they don't agree with yours, or your comment may be deleted.
