Saturday's Start! Heart Walk at Savin Rock in West Haven was a success! An estimated 4,000 people were in attendance, shoes laced and ready to walk! Proceeds from this event went to the American Heart Association. The AHA is the largest voluntary health organization working to prevent, treat and defeat heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular diseases.
I want to thank the American Heart Association for inviting me! I also want to thank everyone who came out! I got a chance to talk to many of you. Some people were walking in memory of a friend or family member. Others were walking to jump start a healthy lifestyle. Great job everyone!
