It's probably only free if you shop in stores like Nordstrom. And who can afford to shop in stores like that????

Over 30 years ago, as a young professional lady right out of college, I would shop at Musler's and Stowell's at the old Waterbury Mall on Wolcott Street. A girlfriend and I became friendly with sales people at each store. They knew my likes / price range and set dresses and jewelry aside for me. Every Friday night, I would stop, look over their choices, chat and then, order a pizza from Dominic's! They were performing a service and, yes, I needed dresses and accessories. I bought my first string of pearls when I got my first big promotion and my diamond wedding band from Stowell's and many, many outfits from Musler's. We enjoyed the social part of connecting with people and of course, the shopping part as females.

We are not all of a cheap, see it everywhere, Wal-mart mentality. You get what you pay for....

Sonia, thanks for the story. It brought back very happy memories!!

I'm not a big fan of shopping, but Jesus ... a personal shopper? How lazy can one become? If you can't find time to buy stuff you need ... then you need to brush up on your time management skill set.

What's next .... personal bathroom attendants to wipe your junk when you're through? Give me a freakin' break.

ms belinda... roumer has it you dress very well and professional......

ms sonia, i tend to do all my shopping via LL Bean on computer... UPS does all the leg work...

i tend to be set in my ways, button down collars, pastel coloured shirts (solid colours),kaki pants (more so for the golf course than work) and Polo/Izod shirts for summer time... so LL bean has me covered, but i can see, with some people, a need for such a service...

Nah! Not for me! I love shopping on-line. . . even for groceries with Stop & Shop's Peapod Service. I want to pick it out myself and I want it delivered!!!

I think this is a great service. Not only does it benifit the store by notifying customers of new items enticing them to spend more money; it also benefits the cutsomer by adding a personal touch at no extra cost. It is much better to talk to someone about the item than read an email where you only look at pictures (which you have to download) in your email.

I would welcome an occasional phone call about the latest style for free almost any day. Why not. I am a woman and I love to enjoy looking great. Why not start with my wardrobe?

Why not include JCREW which is right in New Haven who offers the exact same quality service and has for quite some time!!! And is much more reasonable!!!

I mostly don't shop in stores like that anymore, due to income being flat for almost 10 years and everything else getting more expensive. So over the years I've migrated away from the mall and toward stores like Kohls and Target, where I'm sure it's not an option. LOL.

I would like to hire a stylist for a day. I'm adjusting to my thinner self for the first time since before 1997, and having a rough time of selecting clothes.

The American Girl Doll Store in NYC has personal shoppers for its young lady shoppers. My 25 y/o daughter and I were just tickled silly by this. As my daughter said "Mom, really, what 8 y/o needs someone to help them spend money at a toy store?"

I really liked the show when it was just news now i cant stand Sonia. She might as well wear just underwear you can look up her dress isnt tha a little embarassing? Des is fine she at least wear longer dresses. but she is always catering to Sonia. It has interesting things tht you offer but gosh why does she have to wear such short clothes . Sorry for my comment i raised 4 girls and would be totally embarassed if she was my daushter.

Influence can be defined as the power exerted over the minds and behavior of others. A power that can affect, persuade and cause changes to someone or something. In order to influence people, you first need to discover what is already influencing them. What makes them tick? What do they care about? We need some leverage to work with when we’re trying to change how people think and behave.
