I dont live in SANCTUARY CITY , but here is question that I would like to ask.....

We, as a nation, are in VERY trying times, fiscally right now.....one of the BIGGEST problems that our spineless "leaders" on the federal, state and some municipal levels is NOT dealing with the illegal immigration problem, New Haven is a city that is a magnet and in alot of ways are going out of their way to harbor these people..... which is costing us ALL millions of dollars..... WHEN is that city going to actually uphold the laws that are on the books NOW about illegal immigration??????? AND PLEASE stop comming up with pathetic new ways to "tax" just to cover THAT city's shortfalls...............

What does real education reform really mean and what are the best ways to get there?

The school year is not much different than it was 30 or 40 years ago but the level of knowledge is much less. This ripples well past high school since many college curriculum's use the first 2 years to teach at HS levels (and still call it a 4 year degree). A real study of how much of the school day is wasted is in order.

How can New Haven best grow economically in the next 5 years? What has been done and can be done to further develop New Haven's economy?

what quality of life improvements is each candidate thinking of... (given budget constraints) say pedestrian only roads, walk ways like Portland Me. or Providence RI... etc...

What have they done to protect the most vulnerable to H1N1? What have they done to improve the quality of life for all citizens?

If the schools use a "zero tolerance policy" There should be no need for highly paid administrators. Just a security guard with a rule book.

Why can't members of congress, including everyone, give up their own health coverage and have to pay their own bills like we do with credit cards until we all have equal health coverage. I bet they would find a solution to fix the problem if they went into debt like we are.

I have to laugh referring to Susan Bysiewicz. Does it really matter if Susan Bysiewicz isn't qualified when we have a President who wasn't qualified when elected? The people (not me) took a chance on him and were has he taken the US of A.

are you kidding me. school today is totally different than it was 30 or 40 years ago. the problem is the quality of kids they have to teach. kids who don't care, kids from the streets, kids with all sorts of emotional problems. this is what teachers deal with today not to mention die hard liberals who tied the hands of the schools. and not to mention your no child left behind act. don't get me wrong nice idea just implemented wrong.
