Pumpkin, take two
A few weeks ago I posted on this blog the story of my wife's pumpkin plight. A national shortage of canned pumpkin had made its way to Connecticut, and a canned pumpkin concoction is one of my wife's favorite snacks.
The good folks from Lyman Orchards heard about my plight. They assure me they are hip deep in pumpkins, and shared with me the very first sample of their brand new pumpkin pie recipe. It was good before, but now they have tweaked it to be even better.
You'll see the new pies in stores soon. Meantime the first one they sent me is being devoured in the newsroom as I write this. Goooood.

While apple pie is my favorite, a good spiced pumpkin pie with fresh whipped cream is quite a treat. Yum... pie...

Dear Darren,
We are happy you enjoyed our new pumpkin pie. We stocked the shelves in our Apple Barrel Market just this morning.
P.S. knowing your wife loves pumpkin, please let us know if she would like to try one and we will have one sent to your office for her.
Sincerely,
Mark
