The shelves may or may not be stocked depending on how severe the shortage is but one thing is for sure. We'll probably be paying a lot more this year for our Thanksgiving Pumpkin Pie. Anyone for apple or maybe custard.

I can attest to a shortage of pumpkins. I grew 4 plants this year, they grew huge leaves and loads of flowers, but only one pumpkin, still green, about 4 inches in diameter. Is too much rain the problem.

My thanksgiving pie will be here as usual though as I made it in August and it is now in the freezer. Think ahead.

Try Costco's. They had plenty last week.
And their ready made pumpkin pies are
the best.

I love to grow veggies and decided to try pumpkins this year. I actually have a couple that are pretty big, about 30 pounds. I thought the white powdery mold was my doing because it was my first time growing them. I can't wait to see what a FRESH FROM THE PUMPKIN pumpkin pie will taste like. I've never had one!!!!

I agree - Costco has really great pumpkin pie!

My crops this year were pretty much disappointing. I'm getting great white eggplant now, but my green beans were practically non-existent; my peppers and cukes weren't great; and my tomatoes, while tasty, were definitely not plentiful.

I'll just make apple pie if there's not enough pumpkins.
